The skies were lit with colorful exploding rockets on Saturday night over the Meadowbrook Cabin in the Poconos. The clouds added to the luminance of the rocket's brilliant flares and did not dampen the spirits of those attending the daylong GHAAS picnic hosted by Tom Boder. The menu included many of Tom's gourmet treats such as Hungarian Goulash, Halupki and Potato Pancakes along with other food delicacies and deserts brought by the GHAAS picnickers. The weather was great for a picnic with moderate temperatures and no rain despite cloud cover. The group had good conversation, fun playing cards, huckleberry picking success around the nearby lake and was also treated to card tricks by Amazing Wayne the Magician (Don't play poker with this guy). It was really great being able to spend time with fellow GHAAS members in a relaxed setting; can't wait til next year's picnic.
