Our Lady of Calvary Alumni

Thank you, Class of 1973, for the document camera!

The staff and students of OLC want to thank the graduating class of 1973 for their very generous donation of a document camera to our school. Class representatives Bob Roche, Steve Kalinoski and Terrie Smigo contacted us to ask what they could purchase for our students "...in remembrance of our friends and classmates who have passed away, and the Love and Friendship that makes all of us who we are today."

On our "wish list" was a Document Camera, also known as a Visual Presenter. It allows our teachers to project, through a TV or a computer and projector, 3-D objects, transparencies, pages from a book (just to name a few of the many examples), and it can show details, with its zoom feature, as small as the date on a dime.

We have had it inscribed with their loving dedication and it will be a part of educating future Alumni and, hopefully, instilling in them the Class of '73's example of giving back to the community that helped make them "who they are today."

So, Class of 1973...know that the spirit of your friends, those who have passed on and those with whom you still share your lives, is alive and well at Our Lady of Calvary School. Thank you SO much!
